Install CentOS 8 Netboot
Instead of downloading the very heavy full version of CentOS DVD ISO, we could opt for the lighter version CentOS BOOT ISO which is around 600mb against the 7.7 GB of the full version. This also will allow you to choose and customize the list of packages you want to install, avoiding applications that you will never use.
If you want to understand how to do it, all you have to do is follow the steps below.

Download
First download the ISO, you can find it on the official website at this address
Choose the geographical area closest to you. Make sure to download the CentOS Boot version of approximately 600mb
Start CentOS 8 install
As soon as the ISO is downloaded, if you use a Virtual Machine select the ISO and boot it from there, otherwise you should have the ISO bootable by an external Hard Drive.
Initial configurations

For example the most used for 64bit is
The next step is to select the packages and services to be installed, and it is right here where we have the possibility to install a system tailor-made.
Personally, I often opt for Server with GUI.
Now we have to configure the destination (Hard Drive). Select your dedicated partition, check well that everything is in order and continue.
Check back quickly to see if everything is well configured, then start the installation. The final step will be to enter your username and password, press on finish configuration.
Now everything is ready, enjoy!
